Finding Manchester puts a new spin on how we look at the world and our place within it. We’ll be sharing our experiences and insights with schools and communities as we explore the world of Manchesters. Contact us to get involved.
For pupils & students: We’ll be making lesson plans, providing opportunities for school-to-school live links, and creating recourses for subjects including Geography, History, PSHEE and English.
For all ages: If you’ve never tried your hand at creative writing, try the My Manchester open challenge for people to share reflections on their Manchester in exactly 52 words. We will publish a selection on the website and thirteen entries from each of our age groups will be chosen to enter the Manchester City Archive Repository.
There is an art to writing in a way that is concise, informative and captivating. Entries can be short factual stories, poems, parables, songs or anything else as long as they are exactly 52 words in length. (Not 51 or 53 but 52!)
Almost anything can be said in 52 words.
